The work

What a cleanup covers.

Whatever the diagnostic found. The list is matched to your file, and these are the usual ones.

  1. The Balance SheetBalances checked against statements and loan papers, and the ones that do not make sense fixed.
  2. The Profit and LossIncome and expenses moved to where they belong.
  3. ReconciliationsEvery account that was never reconciled, or was forced, reconciled properly.
  4. Duplicates and deletionsTransactions entered twice, or deleted when they should not have been.
  5. Receivables and payablesOld invoices and bills sorted out, so what you are owed and what you owe are real.
  6. Opening Balance EquityCleared, the way it should be.
  7. PayrollPayroll liabilities matched to what your payroll company actually filed and paid.
  8. Catching upMonths that were never entered, entered, so the file is current.

How the price works

One price, agreed up front.

The fixed price comes from what the diagnostic found. You pay it once, before the work starts, and it includes GET.

If I find more than we sawThe diagnostic is thorough, so this should rarely happen. If I find something big it could not have shown, I stop, show you what I found, and give you a revised price. Nothing continues until you say yes.
Nothing billed after the factYou will never get an invoice for work you did not agree to first.
The clock starts with the paperworkThe timeline runs from the day I have the last thing I asked for, not from the day you sign.
If you say no to a revised priceI finish what the original price covers, and tell you what is still left.

Where it stops

What a cleanup does not include.

  • Tax returns, tax filings or tax advice. That stays with your CPA.
  • Running payroll or filing payroll and GET returns.
  • An audit, or looking for fraud or theft.
  • Monthly bookkeeping after the cleanup. That is its own agreement.
